James Bama’s art tells fascinating stories of the West through its natives’ faces and attire. Bama’s work is filled with realistic images of modern cowboys and Native Americans who follow the West’s traditions. He initially lived in the Northeast, creating illustrations for the U.S. Air Force, sports institutions and magazines. Fascinated by the West, Bama moved to Wyoming to accurately portray the frontier's people and culture. Bama has exhibited his work throughout the West, and was inducted into the Illustrators Hall of Fame in 2002.
