    This image of the exterior of a converted brownstone apartment building, featuring glass bricks placed among an otherwise traditional brick facade, appeared in the October 1944 House & Garden. The Gottscho-Schleisner architectural photography team shot the house, designed by architect William Lescaze and owned by Edward Norman.
