Jan Weiss’ mixed media artworks look like scrapbook pages full of treasured memories and mementos. Weiss, a Northern California resident, first drew human figures, before falling in love with mixed media collage. Inspired by fabrics, old buildings, and familiar patterns, she uses paper, postcards and collectibles in her artwork before embellishing them with text, graphics and images of organic forms. Weiss also uses digital media and freehand drawing to create her unique artwork.
This giclée print offers beautiful color accuracy. Giclée (French for “to spray”) is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto the paper’s surface creating natural color transitions. The high-quality paper (235 gsm) is a great option for framing with its smooth, acid free surface.
