Contemporary painter Curt Walters, an award-winning plein-aire artist of the American West, is the most well regarded painter of the Grand Canyon. Donating more than half a million dollars from sales of his paintings to its preservation, Curt Walters has painted and promoted its conservation for the past 30 years. Most drawn to the history and dramatic terrain of California, New Mexico and Arizona, Walters has recently painted Impressionist landscapes in the Middle East and Europe.
