A nostalgic montage, “The Golden Age of Animation” features timeless Walt Disney characters beloved by both children and adults. The sound cartoons of 1928 launched the Golden Age, which continued through the early 1960s. Many characters gained popularity during this period, including Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy. This period was a pinnacle for feature-length animation, such as Disney’s lifelike “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” “Pinocchio” and “Fantasia.” The invention of TV ended animation’s Golden Age, although Disney’s Oscar-winning characters live on.
