Olivia de Havilland had a long career acting in films and on television, but she is probably best remembered for her Oscar-winning performance as the delicate Melanie Hamilton in Gone With the Wind. Alexander Paal's black and white photograph of the actress, which appeared in the November 1939 Glamour, portrays her looking glamorous, sultry, and quite the opposite of the prim Melanie.
