Ken Regan was born and grew up in the Bronx. His photography career began in the sports arena where he covered all major sporting events for Time, Sports Illustrated, Life, and Newsweek. By the late Eighties, Ken had over 200 magazine covers to his credit, as well as numerous awards from the Missouri School of Journalism and World Press Photo to the New York Newspaper Guild. George Martin was a part of the 1986 New York Football Giants team that won a franchise record 14 games. In January 1987, Martin was one of the team captains for the Super Bowl XXI champions. Late in the second quarter, Martin sacked Denver QB John Elway in the end zone for a safety cutting the Broncos' lead to 10-9 (which would remain the score at halftime). George Martin has hand signed this photograph of him sacking John Elway. This photograph has also been hand signed by Ken Regan. A Steiner Sports Certificate of Authenticity is included.
