Warm and inviting, Consuelo Gamboa’s artworks include tempting escapist scenes, detailed still lifes and humorous animal imagery. Gamboa was raised in Mexico by a creative family and mentored by her grandmother, who was an artist. Furthering her education in Mexico, England and France, Gamboa later settled in Southern California. Working with watercolors, she chiefly paints idealized scenes of country life and images of beautiful women relaxing in soothing surroundings. After she formed Gamboa Publishing in 1987, her visibility expanded worldwide.
