Kanyo Ede’s warmly colored landscapes are an escapist sanctuary of solitude and serenity. Ede, who was raised and schooled in Nigeria, fell in love with color after seeing the African textiles his father sold and now draws inspiration from nature. Initially an art instructor and graphic artist, he moved to the United States to paint full time. Now an Atlanta resident, Ede regularly exhibits in Atlanta, New York, High Point, Chicago and Montreal.
