Roberto Lombardi’s paintings feature picturesque balconies and garden scenes bathed in diaphanous light. The son of a landscape painter, he was born in Italy and began painting as a youngster. He spent many years studying art throughout Europe before he earned a graduate degree in Paris. Lombardi first sketches outdoor scenes on site in charcoal and then finishes them in oil paint in his studio.
This giclee print was produced in a limited edition of 450. It is signed in the plate.
This giclée print delivers a vivid image with maximum color accuracy and exceptional resolution. The standard for museums and galleries around the world, giclée (French for “to spray”) is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto the paper’s surface. With the great degree of detail and smooth transitions of color gradients, giclée prints appear much more realistic than other reproduction prints.
