Product Information
Jean-Gabriel Domergue(1889 – 1962) was a French Art Deco painter who credited himself with being the inventor of the pinup. A student of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Domergue was a landscape painter before achieving fame painting coquettish nude and semi-nude women. Numerous celebrities posed for him, most famously Brigitte Bardot. He also created travel ads to entice the leisure crowd to the world’s most elegant locations. The Giclee printing process uses a sophisticated digital printer to deliver a fine stream of ink on archival paper, producing a museum-quality art print that is highly detailed and rich in color.
