A flower’s inner beauty unfurls like transparent butterfly wings in Steven Meyers’ “Eucalyptus.” Originally shooting landscapes, Meyers immersed himself in X-ray photography, a nearly unexplored art which reveals invisible forms through negatives, positives, and combinations of both. An MRI tech for 25 years, Meyers began exploring floral X-rays in 1975, now searches in the grocery store for new subjects.

Plants reveal their innermost secrets in Steven Meyers’ ethereal X-ray photography. From Washington state, Meyers was an MRI tech for 25 years, beginning to create X-ray photos in 1975. Meyers shot traditional landscapes before becoming involved with X-ray photography, which reveals invisible forms and details through negatives, positives, and combinations of both. Meyers, who has created more than 1,200 images, currently searches for new radiographic subjects in the grocery store.

This art print displays sharp, vivid images with a high degree of color accuracy. A member of the versatile family of art prints, this high-quality reproduction represents the best of both worlds: quality and affordability. Art prints are created on paper similar to that of a postcard or greeting card using a digital or offset lithography press.
