Marcello Dudovich (1878 – 1962) is regarded as one of the greatest Italian poster artists of all time, also participating in the budding movie industry. Dudovich revolutionized posters by streamlining the excessive Art Nouveau style into a more modern look. He created richly colored, dramatic, playful posters for opera publisher, Ricordi, and was also the official poster artist for Mele, a famous fashion department store. Ricordi later enjoyed success designing ads for Carpano, Fiat, Pirelli and Alpha Romeo.

This is one of the best posters we have purchased and the price was terrific.....much better than the smaller Nestle poster which was only 24 x 32. This one is 30 x 40.
We rearranged our poster collection in the Living Room to put this one in the best position. We think it is that special And we love Dudavitch the artist. And have another one of his in our San Francisco home.
