    A glass of cognac turns into waves of liquid sunshine in Leonetto Cappiello’s “Cognac Monnet.” The Italian Cappiello (1875 – 1942) was a self-taught artist who cleverly melded products with fun, flamboyant images to effectively modernize advertising. Formerly a caricaturist, Cappiello created almost 1,000 revolutionary posters in 40 years. A leader of the Art Deco movement, Cappiello is known as the father of the modern poster. His groundbreaking techniques are still a foundation of today’s advertising.
    This versatile and affordable poster delivers sharp, clean images and a high degree of color accuracy. Your poster is printed with an offset lithography press with a coating to protect the inks.

        This is a great piece of art. I bought this for a number of reasons. The colours against a charcoal grey wall, to fill the space above an old mahogany & cast iron fireplace in my dining room and it was originally painted in the same year my house was built 1927. So a modern vintage connection to my home that looks great.
