Ken Regan was born and grew up in the Bronx. His photography career began in the sports arena where he covered all major profressional sporting events for Time, Sports Illustrated, Life, and Newsweek. By the late Eighties, Ken had over 200 magazine covers to his credit. Carl Yastrzemski made his Major League debut with the Boston Red Sox in 1961 and for the next 23 years he proudly wore his famous "#8" for the Sox. He had an extraordinary batting style and unmatched skill in patrolling the grounds in front of the Green Monster, and during Boston's "Impossible Dream" season in 1967, he won the American League Triple Crown and was named the AL Most Valuable Player. "Yaz" was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1989. Using silver marker, Carl Yastrzemski and Ken Regan have each hand signed this photograph. Yastrzemski added the inscription "TC 67" to commemorate his 1989 enshrinement in the Hall of Fame. A Steiner Sports Certificate of Authenticity is included.
