Canada has produced a pantheon of illustrious artists over the past century and a half. Among the 12 diverse artists represented here are the landscape painters Henrietta Mabel May, Emily Carr, Thomas William Fripp, and Lawren Harris; the famed Inuit artist Kenojuak Ashevak; and the beloved specialist in winter scenes Cornelius Krieghoff. All of the images are from the extensive collection—one of Canada’s finest—of the Vancouver Art Gallery.
