Braniff Airways transformed the ordinary in to a boldly striped and brightly hued aircraft, colorfully pictured in the nostalgic, 1930s “Braniff Airways, Manhattan, New York” by Kerne Erickson. Authentically depicted, the speedy Braniff airliner shown here in flight, was important for its glamorizing of flying. Painting for more than three decades, Erickson is a meticulous researcher whose image of the Braniff airliner strikingly resembles those used on Braniff’s luggage tags, and other items.
