Serene scenes of ocean and sandy beaches are the favored subjects of Jacqueline Penney’s watercolor and acrylic paintings. From sailboats to warm tropical locales to views inspired from her Long Island home, Penney’s images have the relaxing ability to lure the viewer a world away. One of her award-winning works is included in a permanent collection of National Association of Women Artists’ at the Zimmerli Art Museum. A teacher for over 25 years, Penney’s also published two books, one on watercolor and the other, acrylic painting.
