Blood sampling tubes. These are vacutainers (tubes containing a vacuum) that are used together with a needle (not seen) to obtain blood samples. The needle is used to pierce a patients vein (venepuncture), and the vacuum in the tube draws blood out of the vein. The blood is then analysed and checked for disease.
