Parisian-born Laurent de Brunhoff brought the beloved children’s tale Babar to life with his whimsical illustrations. His father Jean de Brunhoff penned the original Babar tale, and after WWII, Laurent took up his father’s pen, along with his own illustrative tools to continue the Babar saga. Laurent also went on the create characters for cartoon films, as well as posters and disk sleeves. He was a fine arts major at the Academie de La Grande Chaumiere. He has lived in the U.S. since 1985.
This art print displays sharp, vivid images with a high degree of color accuracy. A member of the versatile family of art prints, this high-quality reproduction represents the best of both worlds: quality and affordability. Art prints are created on paper similar to that of a postcard or greeting card using an offset lithography press.
